Steven Sonnenstein is a Managing Director at Digital Bridge and Digital Colony. Mr. Sonnenstein is responsible for the identification, evaluation, and management of new digital infrastructure investments, with a particular focus on Europe and North America. He has more than 20 years of experience in global mergers and acquisitions, asset management, and operations.
Prior to joining Digital Bridge, Mr. Sonnenstein was a Senior Director at PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension investment managers, where he created a telecommunications infrastructure asset class within the broader infrastructure group. He can be credited with completing PSP’s first direct investment in the telecommunications infrastructure space. He was also responsible for PSP Infrastructure’s inaugural direct investments in France, India, and Turkey.
Before joining PSP, Mr. Sonnenstein worked for Brookfield Asset Management in their Private Equity and Infrastructure Groups, focusing on investments in South America. Prior to that, he spent several years working in mergers and acquisitions and distressed advisory.
Mr. Sonnenstein holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and a post-graduate in Chartered Accountancy.
