Geoffrey Goldschein is a Managing Director and the General Counsel at Digital Bridge and Digital Colony. He is responsible for the management of legal affairs and generally provides legal and other compliance support to the firms. He has over 15 years of experience advising on fund formations, U.S. securities laws, portfolio company acquisitions and divestitures, and other material portfolio company matters.
Prior to Digital Bridge, he spent ten years at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, where he worked as legal counsel for several listed and unlisted infrastructure funds. Mr. Goldschein has advised on more than $20 billion of high-profile infrastructure transactions across the communications, energy and utilities, transportation and waste management sectors, including MIP II’s investment in Global Tower Partners and MIP III’s investment in InSite Wireless.
Before joining Macquarie, Mr. Goldschein worked in the corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and leveraged buyout groups of several large international law firms, primarily representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies in a wide variety of domestic and international transactions.
Mr. Goldschein received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, cum laude, from Tufts University. He earned a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a senior editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law.
